A Child’s Perspective, Lorne/McKay (PG)

Title: A Child’s Perspective
Pairing: Lorne/McKay
Word Count: 187

Prompt: For October 25th challenge at slashing_lorne: ‘fingerpaints’.
Disclaimer: Not mine, never have been, never will.

Evan Lorne had been laughing ever since he’d walked into his lover’s room, at least 20 minutes ago. It wasn’t a manly laugh either; it was just a series of completely helpless giggles. Rodney, on the other hand, was getting more and more snappy. He was wearing his most fierce scowl, the one that had his minions running for cover, but it only seemed to fuel Evan’s amusement.

On the wall behind him, proudly hung up next to his various diplomas was a finger-painted drawing of two vaguely person shaped blots labelled ‘me’ and ‘Evan’.

“She’s my niece and she asked. What was I supposed to do?” He huffed irritably, folding his arms in front of him.

“You could have made an effort.” He replied with another chuckle. “I am not that short and I don’t have blue hair.”

“Oh right…because it was so impor - mmm” Rodney didn’t get to finish the sentence as Lorne pulled him into a deep kiss. His amusement had rapidly turned into fondness as he noticed the small scribbled writing at the bottom proclaiming the picture to be of “my family”.
